Short Description

A poem may be a form of teaching something. This project also wants to improve English competences by analyzing contemporany poems. In the period of 6 months, students will go into poems’ style, exploring the main themes. Then, students will interact with each other by using web 2.0 tools sharing them with others. And this will improve the students ‘competences about expressing their creativity.

The purpose of the project

Here there are the THINGS YOU WILL BE GETTING FROM THE PROJECT

Improve your English

Develop English skills by comunication and team work

Improve Literaly skills by encouraging students to have kind of critical spirit 

Reward participants with an interesting event like a festival or a meeting, to increase their own abilities


Students’ Achievement

Students will develop better skills at writing,listening and speaking in English. Students will improve their digital skills. Students will learn how to work with other people by working together as a team and this will be so important for their education Students will develop their ability to analyze poems This will promote creative expression by: encourage students at talking in a better way Students will improve comunicative skills by exposing their work to the audience

Biography of Vernon Scannell by Srednja škola Delnice, Croatia

 Biography of Vernon Scannell Vernon Scannell was an English writer, poet and soldier. He was born in 1922 into a poor family. He passed on his difficult childhood to many poems that had deep details and meaning.  As a young man, he joined the British Army and fought in the World War II. Scannell was known for his sincere poetry which is explored topics such as war, trauma, love, family and human relationships. Experience the war brought into his verses strength and introspectiveness, depicting his personal experience and reflections on what it means to be human. Some of the His most famous works are "The Masks of Love" (1960), "Many Shades"(1966) and "Walking Wounded" (1987) with which he won many awards like the Heinemann Award for Literature and the Cholmondeley Award.  Although he achieved a lot in literature he suffered from alcohol and mental health problems throughout his life.
